I was flipping through a little devotional book and the word strength caught my eye...so here is the entry I read....Isaiah 30:15 "In quietness and confidence shall be your strength."
God never forgets anything He promises. That's right...never. God's agenda continues to unfold right on schedule, even when there is not a shred of evidence that He remembers. Even when the most extreme events transpire and "life just doesn't seem fair", God is there, carrying out His providential plan exactly as He pre-arranged it. He keeps His Word! ~ Charles R. Swindoll
Elijah
I am thankful for the promises of God...especially the one in Deuteronomy 31:8 that says "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."
Thank You Lord for prompting me to seek your Word...that brings me encouraging AND empowering life!
I pray you are as blessed by this entry as I was :)

I love the way he loves me!
My husband NEVER ceases to amaze me! (in the good way...mostly) He is Godly, romantic, charming, hilarious, considerate, unselfish, understanding, PATIENT, fun, both predictable and unpredictable! As a husband, father, disciple, friend etc...I can go on and on and on...But I have to get Emily up and get us all ready for the day, so I won't...
Anywhoooo There are lots and lots of things and ways that my husband shows his love for me that makes my heart leap with delight! Last night in our family prayer time, when it was his turn...he pleaded for God to answer his wife's prayer...This isn't the first time he has begged God for this request...it's just that in this season I am in...the weariness of specific prayers that haven't seemed to be answered yet...
The passion, and amazing love from his heart through his voice, pleading for my hearts desire to be fulfilled...just makes my heart and soul dance!
Thank You Lord for blessing me beyond comprehension with a man that loves me just a little less than he loves You! Thank You for always providing me with a refreshing cool drink in a dry and parched land. I am anointed by Your precious Grace and Mercy! I am blessed!
I love you Joel Gary Quile...My human Hero!
"Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" Hebrews 4:16

Friendship in spiritual formation
Christian friendship is an experience of support, accountability, acceptance, safety, love, and genuine care/concern. When these conditions are present, spiritual growth and transformation become possible.
I believe this kind of friendship requires an intentional investment of valuable time and energy to cultivate and maintain special friendships. I'm sure some of you have seen the movie "Beaches" A love story ... the kind of love that perseveres despite terrible odds, a love that speaks the truth even when it hurts!
Now, in our society we don't call that love. we call it friendship. Very often we assume friendship to be inferior to romantic love...shallower, less meaningful. yet friendship by Gods design is suppose to go deeper than romance, for it's not based on beauty, passion, or physical intimacy...but on the solid foundation of reality!
I believe friendships are undervalued in our society...people are content with acquaintances, come and go Bible studies, work friends(only at the office) warmly greeting people on Sunday morning, short term project partners etc... Now of course you can't be friends with everyone... but how many friends do you have...you know like the ones that you can call at 4 am, or that you pray intimately with, hold you accountable, or tell them a personal struggle you are battling with? How many friends are you this for...??
Jesus is the ultimate friend! The one John 15:13 speaks of..."greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" It is because of that friendship, I am blessed with AMAZING friendships in my life!
I have a joy filled heart for the friends I have in California, Abilene, all over the United States, and now here in the area I live! The Bible study I am in now...just ended our 9 week journey on "Becoming a Woman of Influence" by Carol Kent. There were days that when the study itself didn't kick my be-hiney... my two friends Paige and Stephanie would!
It has been a seemingly long journey finding true friendship here since leaving California, then Abilene...don't get me wrong..I have several friends here...but, Paige and Stephanie have blessed me with a valuable spiritual growth and transformation! It has been so amazing to see all of us accomplish several little feats in our lives, as well as praise the Lord together!
Thank you Paige and Stephanie for sticking with our study, even when it quickly dwindled down to just us three! I have been blessed by an experience of support, accountability, acceptance, safety, love, and genuine care/concern for me and my lifes' journey! I pray I have been the same for you guys! I am proud of who we are and whose we belong to!
What an incredible gift...to walk, run, crawl, laugh, cry, desperately seek Gods will, shout for joy, yell at injustice, pray, sit in silence, meditate on Gods Word, laugh some more, delight in our change, call on the Holy Spirit, sometimes stubbornly accept constructive criticism, praise the Lord and so so so much more together with you two!
Thank you for intentionally investing valuable time and energy in helping me be cultivated into the woman God has designed me to be! I love you Paige and Stephanie! I dedicate "More Than You'll Ever Know" by Watermark to you guys!

2008!!!!!
WOW!!! it's HERE!!!! What an AMAZING gift! Well, I can honestly say that while our family was all split up...This years/last years transition was the BEST New Years I have ever experienced! We went over to the Miller's along with their dear friends GiGi - husband Mark & 3 kiddos, and the Waldron's. We ate, laughed, Played games, ate some more...laughed laughed laughed!
Then Joel, Alan, and I shot out quick style to make it home before midnight (arriving aprox. 11:57) so we could pray out the old year and pray in the new year. I have to say that it truly was such a powerful experience! WOW! The Holy Spirit just filled the house! A really cool thing was knowing Che' and Lindsey Hendrix were praying at the SAME time! (GOOSE BUMPS)
John brought in the new year quietly. He is preparing for his NEW JOB!!!! He officially starts tomorrow at Gateway Church in South Lake! He has been added to their IT team :) Can I just tell you.....I AM SOOOO OUTRAGEOUSLY EXCITED!!!! YAAAY!!! He is thrilled and excited as well :)
Laura babysat for/with a friend then went to a dear dear friends house for a ZANY night of FUN! I love love love her PRECIOUS friends at Faith Christian! God has blessed her with some DYNAMIC friendships. Her whole senior class has a whimsy personality! I will miss seeing them when they all graduate and scatter to various colleges! But am soooo pumped for Laura going to ACU in less than 7 MONTHS !!! :0
I am sooo excited because she will re-join AMAZING friends there in Abilene :) ANOTHER bunch of ZANY whimsy friends she went to school and church with when we lived there. They are just all so goofy and NUTTY NUTS! She is EXTREMELY ANXIOUS as well and CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Emily stayed the night at the Miller's....yet another ZANY WHIMSY BUNCH! LOVE LOVE LOVE those peeps! Didn't see her or Laura till after 3pm today! CRAZY! But when I did boy OH boy...did they fill me in on all the crazy antics they experienced!
We are so so so so BLESSED! Thank you Lord for they safety of our family at what can be such a DANGEROUS time! There were many many more people I wish we could have been together with praying out the old and praying in the new year with!
I pray a BLESSED, JOY-FILLED New Year for all of you! I pray especially for you to be prepared to receive the FULL MEASURE of His POWERFUL Blessings! I pray you understand the depth of God's love and what He has planned for you as I have been praying for our family! May your eyes seek the Kingdom of God, your heart feel HIS every beat, your ears to hear His every word, your hands/feet to share His every blessing and your lips to SHOUT all that has been added unto you!
May you sing out the song that He has engraved INTO your heart...
Matthew 6:33
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Blessed Joy-Filled New Year
My New Years Resolution?......
To give EVERY ounce of love in my heart AWAY! Especially to those who for me...are hardest to love....
I pray that God will grant you...fulfilment in your New Years resolution(s)
Mark 11: 22-25(the Message) Jesus was matter-of-fact: "Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake'—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it's as good as done. That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins."
To give EVERY ounce of love in my heart AWAY! Especially to those who for me...are hardest to love....
Galatians 5:5-6 (The Message) I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.
John 13:35 (The Message) "Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other."
I pray that God will grant you...fulfilment in your New Years resolution(s)
